Join the Board of Trustees

Are you looking for an opportunity to help support Scottish Charities? Are you looking to make a difference to the lives of children and young people in Scotland who are experiencing hardship? We are looking for two Trustees to join our board with senior managerial skills and/or experience in the two following specialties:

The Essentia Foundation a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) is an independent grant giving charity with a vision of a fair and compassionate society where everyone is valued and can be successful. The Essentia Foundation fulfills this by awarding non-refundable grants to applicant organisations which are active in the areas that match its charitable objectives. 

Our charitable aims are promoting the health and social welfare of children and young people and the promotion for the benefit of the public of urban or rural regeneration is areas of social and economic deprivation in Scotland.

Annually the Essentia Foundation conducts two rounds of funding to support Scottish projects looking to address societal problems from youth unemployment to food poverty and mental health / well being. These activities are currently being carried out throughout Scotland.

The Essentia Foundation Trustees are now looking to strengthen the Board. Specifically, do you have any of the following senior management skills and/or experience: marketing and social media communications and finance/accounting.

This is an exciting opportunity and time to join the Board of the Essentia Foundation as we continue to develop and increase our impact in Scotland.

The Essentia Foundation has been in operation as a charity for several years (in recent years it changed its charitable status to a SCIO). It is registered with the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator (OSCR).  The Essentia Foundation has been undergoing further change and development over recent years to refresh our mission and develop and maximize our ability to support smaller Scottish Charities to transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in Scotland.
