Our Aims
Promoting the health and social welfare of children and young people
The Essentia Foundation was set up with the aim to provide financial support to charities and community groups. The charity’s main purpose is the promotion of the health and social welfare of children and young people, and the promotion for the benefit of the public of urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation in Scotland by all or any of the following means:
- The advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly among unemployed people, and providing unemployed people with work experience
- The provision of financial assistance, technical assistance or business advice or consultancy in order to provide training and employment opportunities for unemployed people in cases of financial or other charitable need through help in setting up their own business, or to existing businesses
- The creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision of workspace, buildings, and/or land for use on favourable terms.
