Funding Update & Best Wishes
Thank you to everyone who took the time to make a grant application during the last Funding Round. This proved to be quite a popular funding round and in total our partner Foundation Scotland received 40 applications (up 25% on this time last year!).These applications are now undergoing basic eligibility checks before moving to the next stage of assessment.
The average grant request is £2,886.14 which is also up on last year reflecting no doubt the impact the ongoing fuel and cost of living crises are having on smaller charirties’ finances and the majority of funding requests appear to relate to larger project costs. The sum of requests is just over £115,000. Geographic distribution is promising and we have received applications from 15 local authority areas. The two most popular local authorities were Glasgow City and the Highlands which is a nice mix. We have also seen an increase in applications from the Scottish Borders which is an area we have been wanting to further reach. Other local authorities include Moray, Inverclyde, Renfrewshire, and Aberdeen City.
We look forward to notifying the successful applicants in early February.
The Trustees of Essentia Foundation Scotland wish everyone all the very best for the Festive Season and here’s to a better outlook in 2023.
