Ian Gibson
Experience
Ian has both executive and non-executive experience in the public sector and the third sector in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. This has principally been in the health and social care sector, but also includes standard setting and monitoring as well as complaints handling.
Personal Statement
Finding innovative ways of supporting people disadvantaged through homelessness, social disadvantage or a cancer diagnosis has been a core part of my life for over thirty years. Working in partnership with others to achieve improvements can lever change beyond your expectations.
The opportunity to become a Trustee of the Essentia Foundation gives me the privilege of helping to direct resources to organisations that can make a difference. The chance to help improve the lives of many people in need through no fault of their own was too good to miss.
